Miami R&B and pop artist Jay Mompre releases "Heartless & Alone," produced by Mompre with Christopher Nieves. Born Jason Mompremier and raised in North Miami Beach to a Haitian family, he began singing in church choirs at eight after following his parents onto the stage with their singing groups, names Kompa and the a cappella of Take 6, Pentatonix and Committed alongside the pop and R&B of Justin Bieber, Usher, Bruno Mars and Chris Brown as his influences, and runs Jay Mompre Music LLC, a production company creating soundtracks for film, television and multimedia. He has released singles including "All Around the World," "Love One Another," "My Name Is Jay Mompre" and "More Than Friends," the last two both issued in 2026 and the latter also in an acoustic version, alongside "I'm Rising Up," which carries its own official video. His work has been covered by DCR, which ran both an artist spotlight and a separate interview with him, and by SpitFireHipHop, which published a Q&A on his Miami roots and his view of the music industry. The official video for "Heartless & Alone" was directed by Daniel Palomino Bucheli. Mompre describes the song as being about "having someone in your life that you really trust, love and gave your all too," a person who "gave you every indication in the world that the love you have for each other would last forever," only to "turn around and tear you apart."
