Kevin Abstract Blush album brings a fresh perspective and a deep personal touch. After moving back to Texas and setting up his own label Juno, Kevin created a project that feels both experimental and grounded. The rollout for Blush was anything but random, with visuals, snippets, and key posts building real anticipation. One of those posts even explained the meaning behind the album title, which fans appreciated.
The lead single “Geezer” with Dominic Fike dropped before anyone even knew a full album was coming, and it set the tone early. Collaborations play a big role here too. Ameer Vann makes an unexpected return, featuring on five tracks, which caught longtime BROCKHAMPTON followers off guard. Other guests include Quadeca, JPEGMAFIA, Danny Brown, SoGone SoFlexy, and some local Texas artists.
Kevin recorded part of the album at Rick Rubin’s Malibu studio, which adds to its layered sound. The energy here feels like a mix of BROCKHAMPTON’s creative chaos and Kevin’s personal vision. It’s also a rare case of a group-style project that isn’t trying to chase trends. Blush brings something more thoughtful, something that invites people to play the album start to finish.
