Uncommon. Forward-leaning. Alchemical. These are just a few words that describe the sights, sounds, and styles of the multi-hyphenate creator, Tek-Neek. Geechi to the core, by way of South Carolina, the now LA-based artist, is here to put a staple on a new type of sound he’s refined throughout the years.

“I want the world to know that I’m a Gullah Geechee creative,” he says. “And what I create is generated from a place of love. That love is expressed through this music that blurs the lines of genre.”

Looking to close out the year strong, after a brief creative hiatus, Tek-Neek forecasts a series of short musical films in a visual trailer titled “Act II, Who’s in the Closet.” The trailer serves as a forecast for the answer to this very question, “who’s in the closet.”  The answers you seek will be revealed in three upcoming singles and their visual representation.

Accompanying the trailer today, Tek-Neek unveils the visual for the series’ first single, “Who’s in the Closet, Act II.III.” The self-produced masterpiece plays off the toxicity of modern-day relationships. Powered by a minimalistic melody and Tek’s acapella-like delivery, the single offers a preview of what’s to come in the new year.
