Montgomery, Alabama soul singer Kevin KHULE Harris presents his new single "Mood 2" featuring Jeter Jones, produced by Marcus Bell and Timothy Ellis. "Mood 2" is the lead single from This Is Khule, Harris's new album released on Soul 1st Records featuring Jeter Jones, an eight-track set that also includes "Lights on Lights Off," "Number One Girl," "Mood," "Grown Woman," "Water," "Trailride Takeover," and "Celebrate." The song follows a weekend night from the pregame to the hotel party to the after party around a chorus about Southern Soul dancing, with Harris writing the chorus and first two verses and Jeter Jones, the Mansfield, Louisiana artist known as "Da Kang of Trailride Blues," writing and singing the third. Born and raised in Montgomery in a family of singers, Harris worked as a background vocalist on country, pop, R&B, and hip-hop records and on Motown tribute recordings, competed on American Idol Season 12, where Randy Jackson nicknamed him "Butter," performed on Broadway, toured Europe for five years, and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma, Gamma Epsilon Chapter at Alabama A&M University. "Lights on Lights Off," his first release on Soul 1st Records, charted on Mediabase and was named Spotlight Soul Recording of the Week by the Jackson Music Awards Association, "Celebrate" was picked up by Urban AC radio after the album's release, and Harris has shared stages with Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, Calvin Richardson, Karen Wolfe, and Lenny Williams.
