London artist, filmmaker, producer, and activist Ed Accura releases “1 LIFE,” an Afro House single from the soundtrack to the upcoming documentary NO LIFEGUARD, featuring Maxoo, Goldey One4, Emarvellous, Boy Sayso, and Samson Alexander. Born in London and raised between the UK and Ghana, Accura is the founder of Accura Records, a former member of UK hip-hop crew 617, creator of the Blacks Can't Swim documentary series, creator of Changing the Narrative, and co-founder of the Black Swimming Association alongside Alice Dearing, Seren Jones, and Danielle Obe. His work spans music, documentaries, podcasts, and community engagement initiatives focused on water safety, inclusivity, and participation in aquatics, including projects such as Bear A Witness, Blacks Can't Swim, and the Why We Don't Talk About SWIM podcast. Through the Blacks Can't Swim ecosystem and the Black Swimming Association, Accura has built an audience around advocacy, education, and community impact while helping drive international conversations around diversity, access, and safety in swimming. Created specifically for the NO LIFEGUARD documentary soundtrack, “1 LIFE” was inspired in part by the loss of a close loved one and centers on awareness, responsibility, and protecting life's most valuable asset.
