At 15 years old, AdeBoy lost his father, a loss that would shape the direction of his  life long before he fully understood its impact.

Now at 40, the artist returns to Nigeria in an emotional journey back to his roots,  reconnecting with family, identity and the memory of the man whose absence has  echoed through every chapter of his life.

Captured through powerful visuals and raw storytelling, “Good Die Young” is more  than a song. It is a moment of reflection, healing and legacy.

Traveling back to stand at his father’s grave became a spiritual experience for  AdeBoy. It was not simply about mourning loss, but about understanding lineage,  honouring sacrifice and recognizing how deeply a father’s presence can continue to  live through generations even after death.

“This song is deeply personal to me,” AdeBoy explains. “I created it in loving memory  of my father and to honour the people we carry with us long after they’re gone.”

Blending vulnerability with strength, “Good Die Young” speaks to anyone who has  experienced grief, separation or the lifelong search for identity and belonging. The  record carries themes of resilience, generational connection and the unbreakable  bond between father and son.

Though his father passed away too soon, AdeBoy believes his spirit lives on through  him, through his children and through the family legacy that continues to grow.

The accompanying visual journey through Nigeria reinforces that message,  grounding the release in heritage, remembrance and reconnection.

“His name, his strength and his story will never fade. This record is for him. This moment is for legacy.”
