In a live music scene that often leans on loud moments instead of meaningful ones, The Craft is shifting the focus back to what matters—bars, presence, and real artistry.
Built by the underground powerhouse MCMI (formerly The Plague)—Mic King, Tonedeff, PackFM, and LR Blitzkrieg—The Craft isn’t just another event series. It’s a curated experience designed to spotlight elite lyricism while fixing what’s long been broken in live hip-hop: muddy sound, rushed sets, and lack of care.
“This isn’t about filling a bill,” says Mic King. “It’s about honoring the craft.”
On April 25, 2026, that vision lands in Gowanus, Brooklyn, at Littlefield, featuring a lineup stacked with respected voices: Beanie Sigel, Grafh, Mecc Rashawn, Tiye Phoenix, and DJ Spinna.
But The Craft goes beyond who’s on stage—it’s about how the night feels. Each artist is paired with a signature cocktail made just for the event, creating a setting that blends raw hip-hop performance with a refined, social vibe. No wasted moments, no filler acts—just focused, high-quality execution from start to finish.
The venue’s intimacy is intentional, pulling the audience closer to the performance, so every bar, cadence, and emotion hits with clarity.
Every name on the bill represents a different pocket of underground greatness, tied together by authenticity and skill. Previous shows featuring ONYX, Smif-N-Wessun, 38 Spesh, and Thirstin Howl the 3rd have already set the tone: this is a space for substance-driven hip-hop.
At its core is Mic King, whose evolution from battle rap circuits in Philadelphia to leading iPullRank reflects the same dual mindset behind The Craft—technical excellence with cultural roots intact.
After years of dealing with subpar venues and overlooked details, the MCMI team decided to build something better—an experience that respects both the artist and the audience.
“Hip-hop deserves more than the bare minimum,” King says. “We’re creating something that matches its legacy.”
With another event lined up for June 20, The Craft isn’t just hosting shows—it’s building a movement centered on quality, intention, and community.
