From New Orleans roots to Houston hustle, the rising artist is building his legacy one bar at a time
BandManVic also whose real name is Victor Charles, is no stranger to the grind. Born in New Orleans and later raised in Houston after Hurricane Katrina, BandManVic grew up surrounded by music. His mother was a singer who write his very first rap when he was only six. His father ran a successful New Orleans record label, giving him front-row access to the music game from both sides of his family.
“If I can hear it, I can make it mine.” – BandManVic
For Vic, music wasn’t a career move—it was life. Living a lifestyle most rappers only talk about, it was his friends who pushed him to bring his stories into the studio. Once he touched the booth, it was clear he had something different.
Versatility in Every Mood
BandManVic had a talent to switch lanes effortlessly. Whether it’s hard-hitting trap, melodic vibes, or crossover records, BandManVic matches his energy to the beat. “I’m very versatile, I have music for every mood,” he says. His creative process is simple but authentic: start with the beats, let the lyrics flow naturally.
The Grind and The Breakthrough
As with any independent artist, the road hasn’t been easy. BandManVic admits the biggest challenge has been staying motivated while funding his own career. “Every dollar and cent is all on me and has to count,” he explains. But far from discouraging him, it’s fueling his hunger.
The city is already responding. Fans are gravitating toward his sound, and his upcoming single “Charged Up” is one of the most anticipated drops in his hometown. It’s only the start—BandManVic promises a “boat load” of new music on the way.
Living in the Moment
Ask him how he sees himself in one word, and his answer is instant: “RICH.” But it’s deeper than money. BandManVic is locked into the present, focused on building his foundation bar by bar, track by track.
Carrying the roots of New Orleans and the hustle of Houston, BandManVic is poised to make his mark on the culture. With “Charged Up” on deck, the industry is about to find out why his grind—and his sound—can’t be ignored.
