The new music video for "My Year" by De La Soul and Pharoahe Monch, produced by Da Beatminerz, is out now. Known as the "Boom Bap Ambassadors," Da Beatminerz bring their iconic sound to this vibrant track. The video features verses from De La Soul, Pharoahe Monch, Rasheed Chappell, and Corey Glover. Animated by Anthony Edwards, it brings the song's energy to life. Da Beatminerz have been defining a unique sound in hip-hop for over three decades. "My Year" is the second single from their upcoming album, Stifled Creativity.
The track was one of the first songs created for the album. Dave from De La Soul contributed his vocals despite health challenges. Rasheed Chappell was introduced through Kenny Dope, fitting perfectly into the song. Corey Glover’s addition was the final touch. The album, Stifled Creativity, is set to release on June 21, 2024.
