Exclusive Interview with Spook

So Spook, tell us a little about yourself, where your from? When did you first become interested in music?

I like to make music whenever I'm not making money. My dreams have always been set to make music and make people happy. I'm from Buffalo, NY, I grew up listening to DMX in my moms car when I was 11 and then being introduced to Eminem later that year is what got me on the edge to start writing what I was going through with getting in trouble at a young age and parents fighting and moving school every year.

Whose music did you grow up on?

Eminem/Lil Wayne/50 Cent/Akon

When it comes to your lyrics, what motivates/inspires you?

When it comes to writting I like to talk about the partying I do with my boiis aka LGM and further of making people have a happy feeling and wanting to turn up/ dance to my music. Some times I'll let my feelings and dark lines on to some paper but haven't really made a deep track but soon ill let one out.

What do you look for in beats you’re selecting?

I like an up feeling beat. A beat that makes you want to have fun get together with friends. Shout out to my boii NAN BEATZ he makes a lot of my beats.

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment?

Haven't had a big accomplishment but I like to remain humble but being able to go on stage and perform was a great experience and made me want to get more serious. The accomplishment I admire most is when I went from recording of my phone straight off soundcloud and got my 1st mic at 15 and started recording with bunch of friends.

Favorite movie ? and why?

8 mile like I said Eminem played a big role in my younger age. It's a great movie shows his struggle and I can relate to not having a father and my mom always made sure I was good and she tells me if it wasn't for me she wouldn't be here.

Besides music what other hobbies do you have? Please tell me about your typical day.

I don't have any hobbies I pushed everything else aside to make music but I use to hoop and play video games. If I wake up I eat a good ass meal go make some money work on music and go to the gym.

Whats the best piece of advice that has been ever given to you?

Best Advice was to do what you love and never let nobody tell you anything and you keep going till you make what you love comfortable. Tbh i didn't have a big brother to guide me or tell me things so I always went the hard route and would learn from that. but my mom was always worried about me and always been my biggest supporter helping me with anything i wanted to do. Kinda just kept a close eye on my surroundings.

How does it feel when you perform live? Describe your live performance

Great experience love the atmosphere and bringing my energy out to the people who come to support or watch. I like to make people happy so I give off good vibes.

What are your thoughts on how things are going in the music industry right now?

The music industry to me isn't like it was back then and theres nothing wrong with it because I'm versatile. I like the music now its a lot of good vibes but if you actually look at it, its the same we just rap about drugs/girls/clothes different ways and on more of it the producers make whats next the beats have changed so people don't see its still the same i mean yea its turned to mumble rap and more basic but thats where the spot light is at because we have a lot of rappers that are lyricist but they are in the dark now.

What are your plans for longevity in this business of music?

I just want to have people partying and having fun while hearing my music. Life's short and we are never to old to go out and get down at any age. Don't be a close minded person and stuck into the life we live always find ways to better yourself or your craft and that is what I am doing everyday. No one can tell me who I am because no one had to live inside my head with the things I've done.

If you could work with one person who would it be?

Migos they lit asf and real at the same time. but I also feel like Rae Sremmurd I would get along with on a personal level I've watched them come up and how they was throwing parties playing they music and just with his boiis moving and grinding through hard situations.

Thank you very much for your time Spook. Anything else you want to add? How can your fans get in contact with you?
