Trizz

Mikhail Stukov

Mikhail Stukov: So Trizz, tell us a little about yourself, where your from? When did you first become interested in music? When did you start rapping?

Trizz: I'm from Southern California, specifically LA and San Bernardino County. I became interested in music when I could barely walk. Music was always around me because my dad was a huge collector in CDs. I started rapping at age 9.

Mikhail Stukov: What prompted you to make a career out of rap? How you incorporated the name Trizz?

Trizz: In high school, rapping was the only fun I had while I was there. I wanted to freestyle and make beats on the desk at school and nothing else. Right after school I would head home to record with out doing a lick of homework. I knew around the 9th grade that this would be my lane for ever. Trizz is derived from my real name, Tre. When I was like 7 or 8, my older homie would call me Trizzle. That was corny in high school, so I just kept Trizz.

Mikhail Stukov: When it comes to your lyrics, what motivates/inspires you ?

Trizz: Things that I have been through and women that I've dealt with is what drives me to write the things that I write. I can't write music if I'm depressed or down like most people. I have to be in high spirits in order to write lyrics.
Mikhail Stukov: What do you look for in beats you’re selecting?

Trizz: When I'm listening to beats I plan on using, I look for intense base, pianos and a "gangsta" vibe. I was raised on west coast hip-hop so the direction of my music is stemmed from that.

Mikhail Stukov: What are some things about Trizz that everyone doesn't already know?

Trizz: I also act. I'm huge on screen play. I want to get into that field as well. I've done work on a few Disney shows back in 2007. I've also worked on the hit show ER and several movies such ass Drill Bit Taylor with Jon Heder from Napoleon Dynamite.

Mikhail Stukov: What do you consider your biggest accomplishment?

Trizz: My biggest accomplishment I would say is touring with Brotha Lynch Hung and Tech N9ne and landing a feature on Brotha Lynch Hungs latest album "Mannibalector".

Mikhail Stukov: What are your thoughts on how things are going in the music industry right now?

Trizz: I think the game is fine. There are some things that concern me as far as major artist right now and how they carry themselves but for the most part it's just evolved into a popularity contest, who has more, who can do what faster and it's just getting really lame. As an underground artist from California, I've experienced a lot of it first hand so I'm not just talking out my ass.

Mikhail Stukov: What are your plans for longevity in this business of music ?

Trizz: My plans are to start my own label and sign my self to my self. I'm not chasing a record deal, if it happens, it happens. My main concern is tapping into these major markets and getting the fans on my side.
Mikhail Stukov: Besides music what other hobbies do you have? Please tell me about your typical day

Trizz: My typical day involves Xbox and Netflix haha. I like going to the movies to watch horror flicks if their showing and getting inspiration to write music. I also enjoy writing stories, I'm actually working on a book right now that no one knows about so we'll see how that goes.

Mikhail Stukov: How does it feel when you perform live? Describe your live performance

Trizz: My live performance is very interactive. I get the fans involved. I'm very animated, I act out words on stage. I don't just perform, I put on a show. I never perform a song over 3 minutes, that will bore the crowd. I keep it goin' and rockin!

Mikhail Stukov: What can the people expect next from Trizz? Videos? Album? Tours?

Trizz: As people may already know, I'll be touring with Brotha Lynch again this fall starting Sept. 24th in Santa Ana, CA at the Observatory. The tour is called the Sicc of Da Industry Tour and we will be doing the west coast and mid west. Other than that I'm just promoting my album and working on videos for it.

Mikhail Stukov: Thank you very much for your time Trizz. Anything else you want to add? How can your fans get in contact with you?

Trizz: Appreciate your time. Shout out to dopefuture.com for holdin' me down. Fans can hit me on Twitter @Tr1zz and for all other Trizz info hit TheRealTrizz.com
